 I trust that you have not yet grown weary of hearing about and experiencing change, because I have one more experience for you. We now have an art gallery in our church. The first show features part of my collection of original photography. There are also a few combinations of images and poetry. Perhaps this expression of my vision will give you an even deeper sense of who I am. I also hope that this representation of my creativity will inspire you to look more carefully at your own innate imagination and originality. Each month we will host a new showing of original art from others in our church community and our larger community outside our walls. Enjoy!!

Get tickets This work(PLAY)shop is designed to change your shared mindset from past events to future ones. Through meditation and fun projects together, we'll shift focus from what isn’t working, to what could work. MEDITATION - We'll start with a meditation for releasing the past and all the beliefs it carries - When you let go of what no longer serves you, there is more room to bring in the love that you DO want in your life… VISION BOARDS - we'll use pictures, affirmations and inspiring words to help you visualize the loving relationship you desire and deserve. Vision boards help us to literally see the things we want and make things feel more tangible than just using words alone. Magazines, ribbons, beads, glitter, etc. and other fun art supplies will be provided. We encourage you to bring your own personal items too, such as photographs or magazine clippings. This is a hands-on, interactive workshop. No special art skill is required - just a willingness to work together to move beyond what is currently broken, to what can be changed, bringing you into a hope-full frame of mind. Working together on creating a vision for your loving relationship CAN be fun, playful, and helpful - often you'll discover that your visions are more alike than you realize! NEEDED FOR THE PLAYSHOP: A willingness to dive into the partnership of your dreams Blankets, pillows, yoga mats (if you have one or two) for meditation Photos of yourselves, family and friends - any favorite images, magazines if you have any WE'LL PROVIDE THE REST! There is a Wish List available with specific, 'most used' items. All non-perishable food, paper and cleaning supplies, and other miscellaneous items are gratefully accepted.
Volunteers are needed to help deliver items collected during the first week of March.  If you have any questions, need assistance with registration, or are interested in volunteering, please contact Julianne at the church office. The Second Sunday of each month is Birthday Sunday here at Unity. There's cake! There's singing! There's celebration! We just don't always know WHOM we're celebrating, and if it's Your Month we want to know and celebrate you by name!

Well, have you fastened your spiritual seatbelt? We are now off into 2014! What a year this is going to be! There will be many new programs and many new opportunities for your involvement and your growth and your experience! I suppose I should stop ending every sentence with an exclamation mark, but I am excited! Be sure to keep your eyes and ears open so you will not miss any opportunities that will hold blessing for you. I want to highlight two of these opportunities.
NeMO is coming in February! No, it is not the little fish from Disney. NeMO stands for New Member Orientation. This class is an opportunity for interested individuals to be exposed to an in-depth introduction to Unity. There will be much information provided about what the Unity movement is all about and what it means to be a member of Unity Church of Practical Christianity. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions as well. The class will be offered on the first Sunday of each month from 12:30 - 4:30. Please call the church office and let me know that you will be attending. The other opportunity is what I am calling Sunday Sessions. The Sunday Session is a two hour class that will meet 12:30 - 2:30 on the second Sunday of each month. During the class I will present a more detailed look at the topic for the month. There will also be time and encouragement for discussion. For January our topic is "Expanding our Vision." Obviously, the first Sunday Session will be on January 12. There are many other things I would like to remind you about, but you can check out the website for yourself and get more information - particularly concerning the new things for 2014!
