 Once again, we are partnering with Memphis Angels for their annual "Love Thy Neighbor Day" on Saturday, November 28th (Thanksgiving Weekend). This is an opportunity for us to come together and take our love and unity to those in our community who are experiencing homelessness.
Throughout November, we are collecting the following items:
Schedule of Events: Friday, November 27th at 11am: Please meet Billy "Hopper" Dean here at UCPC to help sort out the mountain of clothes that have been donated. all volunteers are asked to wear masks. Sorting tables will be set up to maintain appropriate social distancing. Saturday, November 28th 11:30am - 2:30pm: Join us at First United Methodist Church located at 204 N. 2nd Street (corner of 2nd St. and Exchange Ave.) from 11:30am til 2:30pm where we will distribute the winter wear, and most of all our love, with a community that needs it more than ever this year. Due to the updated COVID related restrictions in place as of Monday 11/23/2020 we will not be serving food. |
