Prayer Chaplain Ministry
![]() Prayer is one, if not the most, powerful process in the world to heal, reveal, enrich, and uplift our lives. When we make a conscious contact with God, asking for help, miracles happen. Yet, many of us find it difficult to reach out and ask for prayer support. This special message is to invite you to say yes to prayer support for yourself.
Every Sunday here at Unity Church of Practical Christianity, one of our trained Prayer Chaplains will be available to pray with you after our 10:30 Church Service in the Prayer Chapel. We have also prepared a Wellness Calling Program. Once a month a Prayer Chaplain will call those who have requested prayer support to pray with them if desired, and continue to hold them in prayer daily. If an emergency should arise, then each person will have his/her Chaplain’s phone number at hand to quickly call for prayer support, home or hospital visitation, or as a quick connecting link with one of our Ministers. In my past experience, it has also been a wonderful tool for teaching our youth about prayer. The Prayer of Protection

![]() Satoria Lindsey - An interest in spiritual unfoldment and learning the power of prayer began for Satoria in Sunday school and has continued to this day. After being trained and having worked as a high school teacher, a Toastmasters-speaker, and a Johnnie Colemon Institute teacher, she has also assumed roles in various other genres of leadership.
Satoria Lindsey has been a Truth student for a number of years, and on the 26th of May 2015, she became a ten-year member here. She says, “I am excited about this new venture and can hardly wait for the rebirth of the Prayer Chaplain Program.” ![]() Taught to pray as a child, B.J. Remi has family stories of her praying in secret as early as age three. Raised by parents who never restricted her imagination or her intuitive nature, she was always able to explore who she was spiritually. As she says, "I know that I Am who I Am … becoming, still."
As a student for over 25 years of the Edgar Cayce readings (which support Unity teachings), she served as a member of The Glad Helpers Healing Prayer Group for three years and has been a member of “A Search For God Study Group” for 22 years. She trained as a Unity Chaplain in 2007 and just recently completed a refresher course of that training. "I believe with a knowing, the power of sacred prayer and am glad to be of service as a Unity Chaplain at Unity Church of Practical Christianity." ![]() Paulette Williamson's first introduction to Unity was through the teaching of the late Rev. Johnnie Colemon. After moving to Memphis, she attended Unity of Memphis, participating in Unity classes, volunteering, and serving as a Board Trustee for three years, as well as Board Chair for one year.
Serving on the board for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) as a volunteer for six years and as a Board member for two years proved to be both challenging and rewarding through learning to be the one to speak for abused or neglected children in the court system. Empty nesters who relocated here from Chicago in 1997, she and her husband Clarence enjoy traveling, and her hobbies include reading and long distance walking. Other Chaplains:
