![]() This week we are officially initiating our Conscious Giving Program. First, I must mention why we give. We will be using 4 statements that summarize why we give. I give as an act of creativity. I give as an act of joy. I give as an act of gratitude. I give as an act of health and wholeness. Now let’s highlight all the ways you can share the Conscious Giving of your tithes and offerings. As always, there is cash and check. We now offer the opportunity to utilize an automatic draft from your checking or savings account, your credit card, or debit card. A simple form to set up the draft will be available. Your commitment can be updated at any time. For those who choose the electronic method, there will be a giving slip for you to hold as we speak our prosperity blessing. This energetic blessing will follow your electronic giving.
Last of all, I want to return to where we started, that is, why we give. Giving and receiving has its basis in consciousness. That is, in the awareness of our beingness, we deliberately participate in the inherent flow of in and out, teaching and learning, loving and being loved, and giving and receiving. May you find bright joy in the flowing… Blessings, Lawrence Note from Rev. Palmer: For this Vernal Equinox Ceremony, feel free to bring drums and rattles.
On Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM, Rev. Palmer is teaching what he calls “The Regeneration Project.” As we have all learned about our minister, he loves to take things apart, examine each piece, and then reassemble it for you. In these classes, he is discussing how humans need simplification (1, 2, 3) and relationships (how these pieces work together) to grasp the whole. At the same time, it is this need for simplification and relationships that has led to a fracturing of the whole.
Think of the ways in which we simplify and ultimately separate: Mind/Idea/Expression; Creator/Divine Idea/Human; Superconscious/Subconscious/Conscious; Spirit/Mind/Body; and finally, Generation/Degeneration/Regeneration, which is the topic of this series. In the first class, Rev. Palmer discussed the origins of the Regeneration Project. The topics of the remaining classes will be as follows: Class 2: I am CHRIST Class 3: I am the MIND of Christ Class 4: I am the PASSION of Christ Class 5: I am the BODY of Christ Class 6: Systematic Regeneration The Events team is in charge of bringing outside speakers to Unity and of marketing the events to the community. If you would like to be involved, there will be a brief organizational meeting of the committee at noon on Sunday, March 9, to start making plans for the rest of 2014.
