WHAT: Our first ever Trunk or Treat WHEN: Friday, October 30th starting at 6:30pm WHERE: UCPC 9228 Walnut Grove Road WHY: To have some fun together! HOW: You provide the candy and we’ll provide the Trick-or-Treaters along with the goods for a bonfire, wienie roast, and makings for Smores Decorate the trunk of your vehicle for bragging rights of “Most Festive Trunk”! Costumes optional but encouraged! The Process and The ProductWhat is Liturgical Art? It is simply another layer of worship that comes alive for the church community visually, as opposed to the written word or music. It is created by artists and lay people working together to develop a place for visual respite...a place to encounter wonder and mystery. Art has that power and when it is created in community, the power magnifies. The theme of this project is "Liberation". This process is an exercise in releasing the negatives in our lives that are giving us stress, poor health, loss of energy, etc. This is an exercise to help us to move forward individually and collectively to a better world. "The external world mirrors what we feel about ourselves. By letting go of any negative self-judgement, we allow our world to transform, and as it does so, we'll be able to feel greater and greater trust. The more we're able to trust, the more we're able to let go of trying to control the outcome. When we try to move with this flow rather than adhere dogmatically to the doctrines of others or the beliefs we once had that no longer serve us, we more accurately reflect who and what we truly are."
