No books, journals, technical apparatus, etc. please. Our focus is on Inner Knowing. Thank you. Rev. Elizabeth A Reed directs the Abwoon Resource Center in Ohio which supports the outreach work of author, scholar, and Sufi spiritual teacher Neil Douglas-Klotz. Neil͛'s groundbreaking work (first in Prayers of the Cosmos) translating the words of Jesus from the original Aramaic language he spoke (along with viewing translation through first century eyes) has given many disenchanted Christians (and ex-Christians) a new perspective on old words. His approach to translation and spiritual practice reveals Jesus as a mystic and prophet, holding a radically inclusive vision for the whole of humanity and for the planet.
Born, raised, and educated in the South, Elizabeth moved to Ohio after seminary graduation from Emory University. She is both an ordained United Methodist minister, a psychotherapist, and a cherag (clergy) and teacher within a western universalist Sufi order. Sharing an inclusive vision for a "Global Consciousness of Oneness" she has a special outreach ministry to bring Neil͛'s work to audiences in the South. In recent years her personal interests have expanded some of Neil͛s work related to the Divine Feminine, specifically exploring the expressions of the Divine Feminine during the first century in the Middle East.
