Sunday, September 22nd at 6:30 pm The Equinox is one of the four great solar festivals of the year, a potent time to focus our attention on what we wish to manifest and join together to bring it about. Following the ceremony we'll celebrate with the potluck and a drum circle. The Fall Equinox Celebration coincides with Rev. Lawrence Palmer's first service as our new minister! We're asking everyone to bring a dish to share with enough extra for us to create freezer containers for Rev. Lawrence to take home with him. What better way to say"Welcome" than food with which he can stock his freezer! In addition to food, bring a lawn chair, bug spray, drums, rattles, and a friend! Help us support this worthy cause with a non-perishable food item.  The UCPC Board of Trustees sponsored an appreciation dinner for the volunteers at the church on Sunday, September 15th. It was a grand success as the Board of Trustees waited on the volunteers. Everyone was treated to a delicious dinner provided by Karen French's Me & My Tea Room Catering. We enjoyed chicken parmesan, twice-baked potatoes, broccoli and cheese, pineapple casserole, salad, and strawberry cake. In addition, the volunteers were treated to a dance presentation by Lucie Thompson. As Rev. Davene Davis said, "We may never look at Lucie on Sunday morning the same way again!" Our guest speaker was Rev. Davis, who, as usual, did a wonderful job of speaking from the heart about our church. Last, but not least, Keita Bey was a superb emcee.
