From The Minister's Desk

My time with you as transitional minister is rapidly drawing to a close.  My last Sunday service will be on July 14th.  During our time together we have worked with accomplishing what are referred to as developmental tasks during an interim ministry.

These are 1) coming to terms with history; 2) discovering a new identity; 3) shifts of power; 4) rethinking of denominational linkage; and 4) commitment to new leadership and a new future. 

There are things that we have done during my time with you that hopefully have helped to implement these tasks.  What is of most importance is how YOU see and have experienced the coming about of these tasks.  I would like to suggest that each person who reads this stop and take time to reflect on the 5 tasks, asking how you personally have seen that occur or play out in your ministry.  If you have not seen it play out or have not experienced it, ask what can you do to bring it about.

There is an incredible potential in the spiritual community that is known as Unity Church of Practical Christianity. It requires the action of those who love, support, and care about it to bring it into being as spiritual energy, spiritual reality.  What can you do, what are you going to do to bring it about?
